The difference between Muslim's fasting and others is sahur. Sahur can be explain as eat a bit of food or drink a glass of water before solat subuh. Although sahur is a good thing for us to do, but we always looking for a reason so that we can escape and continue our sleep. A simple drink of water, a bit bite of food in sahur give us so much of pahala. Remember, Ramadhan is a month that gives multiple pahala for a good thing we do. Perfect sahur can be explain as:
1) Drink n eat food, not just wake up. (a better sahur is plain water & dates)
2) The closer time to Subuh is better. (so we can solat Subuh after right after sahur)
3) Wake the others so that they can perform sahur together.
4) Eat with Bismillah and end with Alhamdulillah.
With this knowledge, may Allah bless us & gives us a better Ramadhan. Amiinn
